Extended Schools

Extended Schools

Currently our extended schools programme is on hold due to the current situation with the coronavirus pandemic. We aim to resume the programme as soon as possible.

At Abingdon Primary School, we feel it is important to enable children to have as many different experiences as possible especially. We encourage and facilitate the children to take part in different activities and events through liaising with establishments such as Teesside University, MIMA, Middlesbrough Council, other educational establishments and local sporting facilities. These may be opportunities to take part in arts, sports, music, drama or cultural events; to listen and watch artists, musicians, illustrators or authors, or to visit places they would not ordinarily have the chance to attend, in order to allow the children to see what the world has to offer them and to help them become confident, creative and well-rounded young people.

We also offer a range of after school clubs such as the steel pan band, choir, gymnastics, running club, tag rugby, art club and gardening club – to name but a few.
