Extra-Curricular Opportunities

At Abingdon Primary School, we are commited to offering a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to nurture, develop and extend pupil’s individual talents and interests, enhancing our curriculum offer and supporting develop our values of the ARCH: Aspirations, Resilience, Commitment and Harmony.

Research states that active children not only have improved brain function, stronger engagement and an increase in academic outcomes, but also develops happier, more motivated and confident children. This is the ultimate aim of Active Abingdon.

Please find below a list of the offer for Spring Term. Places are limited, so please sign up early to avoid disappointment on Capita 360.

Thank you to parents and children who have given their feedback around our offer. Our aim is for as many children as possible to be active, and so we have tried to include a variety of alternative activities which do not require a particluar sporting skills, but support with all round fitness and enjoyment of keeping active. We are proud to be working with the Opening Schools Facilities (OSF) funding to enable us to provide these additional activities free to our children and community.
